The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pots loves butterflies.  Their symbolic transformation reminds us of our own transformations within and without.  So you can imagine how excited we were to discover these color chips in the form of a beautiful butterfly.  These flutter-dye™  colors are made here in the U.S.A.  from the highest quality ingredients and meet all the requirements of California Proposition 65.  They are phthalate-free, petroleum/paraffin-free, and bee free.  Flutter-Dye™  Colors have been tested in all waxes.  They do not leave color residue at the bottom of your pour pot or in your candle and they won’t clog your wick!  They resist UV damage too.  Although the formulas are proprietary (trade secret), the dye BASE is 100% natural.  Our supplier says when they find a completely natural candle dye, they will let us know!  One of the nicest things about the Flutter-Dye™  Color is that a portion of the profits go to help conserve endangered butterfly habitat by supporting a Wisconsin group called The Sand County Foundation.  They received a U.S. Fish and Wildlife award for Karner Blue Butterfly habitat restoration last year.


Flutter-Dye™  Colors are very concentrated.  So a little goes a long way.  You can experiment, get creative and mix Flutter-Dye™  Colors to come up with an endless palate of colors.  

   * One Flutter Dye™  Color per pound of wax will give you a medium shade
   * Half a Flutter Dye™  Color per pound of wax will make your color lighter
   * 2 Flutter Dyes™  Colors will make your candle darker
